Service Pack 2 per Vista e 2008 Server: pronta la release candidate
Microsoft ha distribuito ai suoi tester la Release Candidate del Service Pack 2 per Windows Vista e Windows 2008 Server. La RC riporta il numero di versione 6002.16670.090130 ed è disponibile in un pacchetto comprendente 36 lingue, o una versione più magra con solo cinque lingue.
Il Service Pack 2 introdurrà miglioramenti nei due sistemi operativi di casa Microsoft, oltre a occuparsi della correzione di vari problemi. Proprio per questo, una volta rilasciato ufficialmente, il pacchetto da scaricare tramite Windows Update sarà relativamente piccolo (alcune decine di mega), supponendo che si siano già installati tutti gli update precedenti.
Sarà come al solito anche disponibile una versione “full”, comprendente tutti gli aggiornamenti rilasciati finora, il cui peso salirà fino a circa 300 MB.
La finestra di scaricamento resterà aperta fino a domani, e sarà accessibile solo agli iscritti a Microsoft Connect. Secondo le previsioni, questa dovrebbe essere l’ultima versione di sviluppo prima del rilascio finale. Microsoft sconsiglia vivamente di installare questa versione del Service Pack 2 su sistemi di produzione.

Awesome info! I was honestly just thinking about something similar to this the other day so, it was almost “weird” when I ran across this.
